BP - best price at the time of writing

1) (3) 0373 Hurricane Alan Richard Hannon 4-9-04 Pat Dobbs
Generally consistent in this grade but usually finds a few too good. Has won with cut in the ground though. BP= 10/1

2) (6) -104 Passing Glance Andrew Balding 5-9-04 Martin Dwyer
Beaten a short-head in this race last year. Goes well here but ground far from ideal. BP= 14/1

3) (4) 5421 Court Masterpiece Ed Dunlop 4-9-01 Jimmy Fortune
Won valuable handicap at Ascot last time and has run well with cut in the ground before. Leading chance. Course and distance winner. BP= 13/2

4) (1) 7446 Naahy Mick Channon 4-9-01 Johnny Murtagh
In form earlier this season but not so good of late and more of a seven-furlong horse in any case. BP= 50/1

5) (2) -302 Nayyir Gerard Butler 6-9-01 Mick Kinane
Real Goodwood specialist having twice won the seven-furlong Lennox Stakes and fine second in Group One Sussex Stakes last time. Generally better on faster ground however and worse opposing. BP= 4/5

6) (7) 1150 Brunel William Haggas 3-8-12 Darryll Holland
Won Free Handicap and German 2000 Guineas earlier this season and came fair fifth in the St James Palace Stakes last time on ground that was too fast. Tried oversix and ahalf furlongs last time in Group One company in France but could not quicken in the closing stages and should be more at home back over a mile. BP= 20/1

7) (5) 6731 Chic Sir Michael Stoute 4-8-12 Kieren FallonGained deserved success in Hungerford Stakes last time but is a short price considering she has yet to tackle ground like this and has done most of her racing over seven furlongs so far. BP= 7/2

SUMMARY
In an open contest, it is worth giving BRUNEL at 20/1 another chance to show his talent.
