LEVY BOARD MEETS INVESTORS IN PEOPLE STANDARD AGAIN
The Levy Board has been re-recognised as an Investor in People for the second time in six years.
The 2006 success results from an independent external assessment in May, carried out against a background of two extensions to the Board’s life in the last three years and, most recently, a further review by Government of the future of the levy.
Confirming that the organisation has continued to exceed the standard in all areas, the external assessor, Chris Hibberd, said, “Despite so much change and uncertainty, the Board and its staff have continued to deliver their functions to a high level of performance while maintaining staff loyalty. This considerable achievement reflects the positive culture and strategy firmly established in the organisation”.
Levy Board Chairman, Robert Hughes, said, “This key national award reflects the exceptional success of the organisation in a period of great and continuing uncertainty. It is testimony to the ongoing commitment of our excellent team, which serves the racing industry with a high level of expertise and professionalism. The Board is delighted at this independent recognition of its work”.
