He was a very smart three-year-old in Europe last season, finishing close up in two Classics and running 2nd in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano (Gr.2-2000m).
Blue Stitch, an impressive Class 1 winner over 1800m in this season and an in-form third defeated by just a neck in a class one event last Sunday. He finished close up in two Group two events, namely the Hong Kong Cup Trial (2,000m) and the Hong Kong Mile Trial.
This pair replace the French-trained Execute and Hong Kong's Red Pepper in the first leg of the World Series Racing Championship. Execute's trainer John Hammond reported his seven-year-old was slightly lame and had to miss work on Friday and felt it was unadvisable to travel with the horse until he had recovered.
