1) 3F-1252 Hurricane Lamp Alan King 9-11-10 Richard Johnson
Emerald Green, Red cross belts, striped sleeves, Red cap.
Useful chaser who attempted two miles five furlongs at Wincanton last time and was a gallant second. Previously had problems with this sort of trip. Still prone to mistakes but is not out of it.
BP 12/1 Coral
2) 311-54 Wise King Jim Old 10-11-08 Timmy Murphy
White, Black triple diamond and armlets, Yellow cap.
Has not raced since January.Won this race last year and a useful performer. But he has more to do here.
BP 7/1 Tote
3) 2/54216 Amancio (USA) Amanda Perrett 9-11-07 Joe Tizzard
Light green, dark blue and light green hooped sleeves, striped cap.
Ran well when sixth in the two-mile Grand Annual handicap chase at Cheltenham. Usually a front runner. Yet to try this trip - a two-mile specialist.
BP 8/1 William Hill & Ladbrokes
4) 6156320 Chief's Song Simon Dow 10-11-07 Dean Gallagher
Purple, Yellow sash, halved sleeves, Black cap, Yellow spots.
Inconsistent chaser - maybe best at two miles but has won over this trip. Not one to rely on.
BP 14/1 William Hill
5) U24414 The Land Agent Seamus Mullins 9-11-07 F Keniry (5)
Brown, White hoop, hooped sleeves, Orange cap.
Fourth in the Racing Post Chase in late February last time. This ground may be a bit fast for him and these two milers may go too quick.
BP 6/1 Tote
6) 41F104 Sir Dante (IRE) Richard Rowe 9-11-06 Barry Fenton
Light Blue, White star on body and cap, hooped sleeves.
Fourth in the Mildmay of Flete Handicap Chase at Cheltenham. Will appreciate this fast ground. Has a fair chance.
BP 4/1 William Hill & Tote
7) 2-45340 Northern Starlight Martin Pipe 9-11-03 Tony McCoy
Red, White spots, sleeves and spots on cap.
Was eighth in the Mildmay of Flete Handicap Chase at Cheltenham last time but this smaller field will suit. Second to Wise King in this event last year and is 14lb better off for two lengths. Often makes the running and likes fast ground. Has dropped sharply in the ratings and is given a winning chance here. Re-united with Tony McCoy for the first time since January. Excellent value.
BP 15/2 Coral
8) 4112221 Lord York (IRE) Ian Williams 8-11-00bl Mick Fitzgerald
Mauve and pink check, white sleeves.
Consistent chaser who won well at Newbury last time. Up 9lb in the ratings for that.
NORTHERN STARLIGHT is outstanding value each-way.
