PIPE ENTRIES DOMINATE IMPERIAL CUP MARKET

There have been 35 horses entered for Saturday’s Paddy Power Imperial Cup at Sandown and totesport have made David Pipe’s Mr Thriller the 9/2 favourite for the race.

The Pipe stable have made the Imperial Cup their own in the past and they have their usual strong entry with their five entries responsible for the first two in the market.

Big Eared Fran is the 6/1 second favourite with Tony Martin’s Psycho next in the betting at 7/1. Pipe also has Seven Is My Number, Leo's Lucky Star and Acambo in the race, with the former the shortest priced of that trio at 12/1.

“It’s unsurprising to see the David Pipe pair of Mr Thriller and Big Eared Fran head the market for Saturday’s Imperial Cup which is a race that the stable have done so well in in the past,” said totesport spokesman George Primarolo.

“It was the former that went in many people’s notebooks when winning at Fontwell and with that form working out so well, it would be no shock if Mr Thriller ran a big race not only at Sandown but also at the Cheltenham Festival as well.”

Mr Thriller is a 9/1 shot for the Fred Winter Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle and a 12/1 shot for the Coral Cup. totesport are now non-runner no bet on all Cheltenham races.
