NEWBURY

3.20pm - £50,000 European Breeders Fund Crandon Park Stud Mares' 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle Final (A Limited Handicap) (Listed Race) 4yo+, 2m 5f

Going - Good

BP = best odds offered by Coral, Ladbrokes, Willim Hill & Tote

1) 11-1F21 Ar Muin Na Muice (24)Mrs G Smith Jonjo O'Neill 7 11-10 B J Geraghty
Won easily at Wetherby over two and a half miles last time out and is obviously a progressive sort. However, this is by far her toughest task, she has topweight and she is a very short price. BP= 2/1 Ladbrokes

2) 112-111 Glenmoss Tara (64) West Coast Fiddlers Nicky Richards 5 11-0 B Harding
Unbeaten so far this season but the form has failed to work out and she looks harshly treated. BP=11/2 Tote & Coral

3) 1-211 Blue Ride (44) Angela Tincknell Paul Nicholls 6 10-13 P J Brennan(5)
Progressive mare who coped with the step up in trip well last time out at Wincanton. His rider’s claim may be useful as well. BP=9/2 Ladbrokes

4) 316-113 Fragrant Rose (86) David Jenks Henrietta Knight 7 10-12 R Biddlecombe(5)
Won her first two races and beat Blue Ride at Taunton in November. Was a below-form third at Hereford on Boxing Day and is worth another chance, especially with his rider’s claim helping a lot. BP=11/1 Ladbrokes

5) 26-2212 Macnance (40) Mrs Keith Lowry Richard Lee 7 10-9 T J Phelan(5)
On a line through Native Approach, she has it to do with Fragrant Rose, though there was only a head between them at Hereford in November. Consistent sort. BP= 12/1 Coral

6) 1P3 Spaghetti Junction (18) Paul Murphy R Alner 5 10-5 A Thornton
Won first time out but this is a much tougher task. BP= 25/1 except William Hill

7) 122-061 Scottish Dance (40)Stephen Owen Nicky Henderson 6 10-4 M A Fitzgerald
Bounced back to form at Hereford last time out but will need to improve to win this.

BP= 12/1 except William Hill.

8) 11-P514 Lynrick Lady (24) Milady Partnership Jonny Portman 7 10-4 (10-3) T J Murphy 20lb better off with Ar Muin Na Muice for a 22 lengths beating at Wetherby. Had earlier won at Chepstow on heavy ground. BP= 28/1 Ladbrokes

9) 313632 Native Approach (24) J Hanson Nicky Henderson 6 10-4 (10-3) M Foley
Very consistent sort bu there may be a few better on the day. BP= 20/1 Coral

10) P-03214 Standing Bloom (37) The Stablemates Pam Sly 7 10-4 (10-1) W Marston
Another consistent sort but has to improve to have a chance here. BP= 25/1 Ladbrokes & Tote

11) 3-54320 Ragu (25) Raj Patel Ferdy Murphy 5 10-4 (9-13) S Durack
Has some form but disappointed last time out. BP= 40/1 Coral

12) 4-14312 Ask Me What (11) The Turf Club Venetia Williams 6 10-4 (9-11) P Robson(3)
Held by Lynrick Lady but is another consistent sort. BP= 25/1 except William Hill

13) 60-5510 Angel Delight (26)Croome Cavaliers Venetia Williams 7 10-4 (9-10) A O'Keeffe(5)
Ran very poorly last time and her form before may not be good enough. BP= 33/1 Coral

14) 10-0143 Long Shot (93) W H Ponsonby Nicky Henderson 6 10-4 (9-9) Mr A Tinkler(7)
Stays well but her name sums it up. BP= 33/1 Tote

15) 412603 The Rebel Lady (44) The Rebel Partnership Henrietta Knight 6 10-4 (9-9) J Culloty
Showed promise last time after being hampered but has a lot to do. BP= 33/1 Ladbrokes

16) 13-0444 Mini Mandy (27)R H Buckler Bob Buckler 7 10-4 (9-7) b L Aspell
Has a lot to do. BP= 33/1 Tote

SUMMARY
FRAGRANT ROSE is terrific value each-way in a fascinating handicap.
