GOING: Standard

GOING: good to soft

for the best odds go to www.BritOdds.com
BP= the best price at the time of writing

1) (4) 10(2)- NORTHERN SPY Simon Dow 4-9-05 Pat Dobbs
Lightly-raced ex-Godolphin colt who made a pleasing Polytrack debut when a staying on to be runner-up over this distance at Kempton in December. The form has not worked out that well so far and he has gone up 2lb for that effort. Scope for improvement though. BP= 9/4

2) (2) (1)20(5)0- CROSSBOW CREEK Mark Rimell 10-9-05 Liam Keniry
Classy two-mile chaser at his best but below par when last seen in the autumn. Polytrack winner over the distance at Kempton in July. Races off a 5lb higher mark and could need the outing. BP= 14/1

3) (7) 0(6)(0)(2)(2)- BASRA Jo Crowley 5-9-04 Dane O’Neill
Runner-up last two starts, both over a mile here at Lingfield. Caught an in-form rival penultimate outing when narrowly failing to reel in Atlantic Story. Just about stayed 10 furlongs on turf in Ireland and has claims. BP= 8/1

4) (5) 3)(0)-(3)(5)(6) FUSILI Nick Littmoden 5-9-03b Kirsty Miczarek (3)
Latest win came over course and distance in January, 2007, off a 10lb higher mark. Best effort since when two and a quarter lengths sixth of 12 in a better contest than this last Saturday, finishing well off 82 when blinkered for the first time. However, does not win that often. On the plus side he has gone down a further 1lb and the jockey is riding very well. Blinkered again. BP= 7/1

5) (3) (0)(6)(4)-(2)(2) MATARAM William Jarvis 5-9-01 Chris Catlin
Consistent of late and three lengths clear of Fusili over the course and distance on January 9 but beaten six lengths that day. Unsuited by lack of pace when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time. Yet to win off this high a mark and has not won since January last year. BP= 6/1

6(1) 6(4)(5)-(1)(1) ART MAN Gary Moore 5-9-01 George Baker
In cracking form this year with two course and distance wins against smart opposition. Must be the one given the manner of those triumphs and the quality of the opposition. He has gone up 7lb for his latest win but that should not be enough to stop a hat-trick. BP= 9/4

7 (6) (0)0(4)(2)(6)- DRAGON SLAYER Paul Blockley 6-8-13 Frankie McDonald
Given little respite by the handicapper since scoring over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton a year ago. Not without a chance on his second to Mafeking here in December and could be in the shake-up. BP= 25/1

is outstanding value, given that he is the clear form choice.
