1. (7) 5531-14 Baylini 4-9-05 Ms J S Doyle J Doyle
Won twice over course and distance in November and January in good style, latter race by six lengths. Beaten seven days later in a similar race under 6lb higher mark on January 16 - now up another 7lb so has a tough task on the face of it. But he has had a little break. BP= 6/1

2. (8) 301-233 Sgt Schultz (IRE) 5-9-02 Stan Moore Liam Keniry
Can take a keen hold and is usually restrained and comes late. Has been a bit unlucky the last two times over 12 furlongs and this trip here but could make his own misfortune. Up another 3lb to his highest ever rating.

BP= 9/2

3. (3) 312765- Philatelist (USA) 4-9-01 Michael Jarvis Neil Callan
Has not run since August. His only win came on his only all-weather start here over 12 furlongs in May. but the form was modest. This is a bit of guesswork - is he fit? Does he need 12 furlongs? BP= 7/2

4. (2) 9296-48 Speedy Sam 5-9-01 Karl Burke Jim Crowley
Well beaten here last time but previously just behind Sgt Schultz here and weighted to turn the form around. Has won two from 10 on the all-weather and there are better chances. BP= 14/1

5. (6) 60649-1 Rationale (IRE) 5-8-11 Stuart Williams Jean-Pierre Guillambert
Won at Kempton earlier this month over 11 furlongs. Stays further than that and this 10 furlongs may be too sharp especially having gone up 5lb. BP= 6/1

6. (4) 064-221 Mataram (USA) 5-8-09 Willie Jarvis Chris Catlin
Did well to win last time out over course and distance in a fair race. Has only gone up 3lb in the weights. He is also 10lb better off with Baylini for the six lengths he was beaten in January. Good chance. BP= 11/2

7. (5) 4054-15 Bee Stinger 17 6-8-08 Ian Wood Jamie Spencer

Stepping up from a mile and this is unknown territory distance wise. Did not hava clear run last time here when narrowly beaten and won the time before so he will have his supporters but worth opposing. BP= 9/1

8. (1) 137/87-5 Freeloader (IRE) 8-8-06 Richard Fahey Jimmy Quinn
Not disgraced when fifth over nine furlongs at Wolverhampton on first outing for a while and is not out of it. Should stay this trip on the Flat as he is useful over hurdles. Trainer in good form. BP= 9/1
