BP= the best price at the time of writing

1 640-467 Locksmith Peter Monteith 6-11-12 Jimmy McCarthy
First run for new trainer though still owned by David Johnson. Most successes have come over fences. Likes this ground and being up with the pace. Best watched. BP= 50/1

2 PP2110/ Silvertown Len Lungo 11-11-10 Brian Harding
First run over hurdles for nearly two years but he won four on the Flat this year. Slightly quirky customer who likes to make all. Likes fastish ground and is a course and distance winner. Good value. BP= 16/1

3 32-1734 Caraman (IRE) J J Quinn 8-11-07 Mr M Walford (7)
Fair sort who has been running consistently but he is racing off his highest ever mark and others make more appeal. BP= 16/1

4 1/1100-1 Bogus Dreams (IRE) Daniel Barry IRE 9-11-00 Mr N McParlan (7)
Won well here last time out 20 days ago but has gone up 10lb for that. Claiming amateur takes most of that off. Comes from behind. Cannot be dismissed. BP= 9/2

5 228-353 Saif Sareea Nicky Richards 6-10-11 Miss Rose Davidson (5)
Consistent sort who ran well here when third 10 days ago. Racing on his highest mark and therefore needs to improve again. Excellent rider. BP= 13/2

6 21103-0 Masafi (IRE) Howard Johnson 5-10-11 Paddy Brennan
Won two novice hurdles here last season but his other form has been generally disappointing. Best watched though he is slipping down the handicap. BP= 8/1

7 3-107P4 Double Vodka (IRE) Chris Grant 5-10-08 Richie McGrath
Fair performer on his day but seems too high in the handicap. BP= 20/1

8 13405-2 Millagros (IRE) Ian Semple 6-10-08 Dominic Elsworth
Fair enough performer who was a good second on his seasonal debut in late November. Now racing off his highest-ever mark over hurdles and needs to improve. Poor value. BP= 3/1

9 442426 South Bronx (IRE) Sue Bradburne 7-10-03 Wilson Renwick
Usually consistent but ran poorly last time in October. Probably needs a tougher test of stamina. BP= 33/1

10 21315 European Dream (IRE) Richard Guest 3-10-00 L McGrath
Fair three-year-old novice but this is his first handicap against older horses and it is a tough ask BP= 11/1

11 486F91 Majorca (ex7) Ferdy Murphy 5-10-00 Graham Lee
From a team in form but is 9lb worse off for beating Saif Sareea four and a half lengths here 10 days ago. Generally consistent and will be suited by the strong pace of this race. The main danger. BP= 9/2

SUMMARY
A fairly open handicap and it is worth taking a chance with SILVERTOWN who is a very big price for his ability. Have a small bit on each-way.

Good luck and Happy New Year.
